Memory Lane

This is actually one of my art projects for college. The theme was “Memory”

Since memory in general are not physical objects of us, I had this idea where selling memories could be viable and profitable, since memories are worth more than any diamond.

With everyone as robots this could make perfect sense. You want to go on a picnic to the moon with your special one? Why pay for a ride there when you can just buy the experience in a chip! The more grandiose the memory is, the higher it costs.

Simple lunch dates on a floating restaurant are change money, as defending a medieval castle siege with all your friends are REALLY expensive.

People buy expensive rings and jewelry for the sentiments and good memories that come with it, but what if one can buy the memories that they want to experience directly?

What if you can buy a portion of someone else’s life you can experience for a short time?

How will sellable memories change economy and social structure of the world? Since richer people can become masters of a specific trade in mere hours by buying the memories of a master. This can only further their stature from the less fortunate.

This actually has a lot of story potential…I may make a short story about it…
